The Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation (VCQA) is the only quality certification process designed specifically for local volunteer centre provision.
The Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation (VCQA) is the quality mark for organisations delivering the five local Volunteer Centre functions. It provides assurance to members of the public seeking volunteering opportunities, volunteer involving organisations, partner, commissioner and funding organisations, that the holder provides a high quality and effective local service. Accreditation takes place via a peer assessment and is valid for three years.
In 2022, NAVCA took on custodianship of the VCQA from NCVO, with the aim of sustaining and strengthening its purpose to support a strong local volunteering offer. We are currently open to applications for reaccreditation from existing VCQA holders and in early 2023 will be opening up to applications from new organisations.
If you’re an existing VCQA holder and would like to book your accreditation slot, are an organisation who’d like know more or to register your interest in accreditation, please email quality@navca.org.uk
VCQA accreditation is valid for three years from the date the organisation was accredited.
